Tiffany is a firm believer in complementary therapies as a
way of restoring health and maintaining a balance in one’s
life.
Tiffany moved to Hong Kong in 2006 after finishing her studies
at The Australian College of Natural Therapies, ACNT, located
in Sydney, Australia. Growing up, Tiffany has always been surrounded
by natural therapies and has always been interested in one’s
fitness, health and well being. It was at the college that she
grew a deeper understanding and respect for them where she received
a Diploma of Integrated Body Therapies. Integrated Body Therapies
incorporates therapies that involve the physical manipulation
of the muscles and fascia of the body. It also includes modalities
which focus on the stimulation of energy flow. These include
remedial massage, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage, trigger
point therapy, myofascial release and exercise therapy. She
has also studied iridology and reiki and enjoys learning and
pursuing other modalities. In her treatments, Tiffany encompasses
remedial massage, Swedish massage, aromatherapy, lymphatic drainage
and reiki to create a specialized treatment for each individual.
Successful body work requires the awareness and care for the
therapists own body. Being a dance teacher and performer Tiffany
has a thorough understanding of the body mechanics and is able
to incorporate that into her work. Tiffany loves being a part
of the natural health industry where she can help improve one’s
overall well being, mentally, physically and spiritually.

Remedial
Massage
Remedial Massage involves the use of massage encompassing
a wide range of diagnostic techniques to treat a variety of ailments
to do with the musculo-skeletal system. Techniques used involve
Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger points and myofascial
release.
Muscular tension is related to physical pain but
it can also relate to psychological tension and repressed emotions.
Therefore, relieving physical tension can influence and relieve
psychological tension and by alleviating the stress, one is better
able to use their own healing energies to gain inner and outer balance.
Massage therapy is effective in promoting relaxation
and relief from stress and resolving pain and dysfunction.
Massage benefits include:
-improving circulation of the blood and lymph,
-reducing high blood pressure,
-stimulating the immune system,
-reducing muscular tension,
-relieving pain in muscles and joints
- releasing chronic neck shoulder and back tension,
-promoting correct posture and helping improve mobility.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the art of utilizing essential
oils to promote good health. Essential oils are extracted from herbs,
flowers, resins, woods, and spices. Aromatherapy focuses on the
development of well being and enjoyment of life therefore it is
a healing process and works on allowing the person to use their
own healing energies.
The effect of smell alone has a powerful influence
on the central nervous system. Due to their influence on the hypothalamus
and their possible influence on the cortical areas of the brain
that are associated with memory and learning, essential oil fragrances
can influence mood, emotion, counteract stress and reduce high blood
pressure.
Aromatherapy
Massage
Aromatherapy massage developed by Micheline Arcier,
uses gentle relaxing techniques and utilizes the various energy
systems of the body. Aromatherapy massage uses techniques of Swedish
massage and lymphatic drainage. Benefits are as those mentioned
above with massage as well as inducing deep relaxation and relieving
mental and physical fatigue, reducing inflammation and pain, stimulating
the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins, improving digestion and
assimilation and elimination and helping to release suppressed feelings.
