Aromatherapy
In Asia we are spoilt for choice when it comes to massage
therapists and spas. However, Darcie is head and shoulders above
the rest and without doubt the best massage therapist I have
been to. Whether I need treatment for sporting injuries or general
relaxation and revitalisation at the end of a tough week, Darcie
alters her style and focus accordingly. She never just goes
through the motions. Darcie is a true gem.

As an exhausted mother of three children under the age of four,
I had booked an appointment for a massage at a well-known treatment
center for some relaxation. Unfortunately the session was not
at all what I had expected. The following day, I was in so much
pain that I could hardly move! Thankfully, I was promptly referred
to Darcie Iki by a dear friend of mine who was confident that
she could help me. Although I was extremely apprehensive about
any further treatment, fearing it could make matters worse,
I decided to be optimistic and attend the appointment. I am
so glad I did! Darcie is a truly wonderful therapist. I love
massage and frequent different treatment centres and spas both
here and abroad, and I have to say, her technique and touch
were excellent. Her pressure and speed were perfect, and she
was great at finding a knot and working them until the tension
melted away. She was also so sympathetic to my situation and
really took the time to understand my needs. Darcie combined
her therapeutic technique with her vast knowledge of aromatherapy
to create an individualized session to ease my pain. In fact
she did such an amazing job that not only did she alleviate
my pain, but she also managed to provide the relaxation that
I was looking for in the first place! Thank you Darcie!

I was looking forward to Darcie's new treatment and being indulged
under her expert hands. I loved the addition of the salt rub
and hot towels which helped relax my muscles. I came away feeling
refreshed, knots kneaded away. At bedtime, I fell into a deep
sleep and I felt totally alert the next day, ready to tackle
whatever was coming my way.

Lymphatic Drainage
Following surgery on two occasions, I was recommended, by my
doctors, to undertake lymphatic drainage. I have had lymphatic
drainage with Jan Moor following both surgeries. I found that
my recovery was considerably speeded up and swelling/fluid retention
was much reduced as a result of treatment. The additional benefit
I found was that it is very relaxing and seems to promote general
well-being.

I have been seeing Jan on a regular basis due to problems with
my arm after surgery and cancer treatments. I enjoy the sessions
– they are very relaxing and I find Jan very professional,
kind and involved with my healing. I now have much better range
in my arm which is a direct result of the combination of Jan’s
lymphetic drainage and myofascial therapy. I now come back for
maintenance. I highly recommend Jan to anyone looking for professional
lymphatic drainage.

Homeopathy
My son aged 6 and daughter aged 3.5 have both benefitted from
the homeopathic remedies prescribed by Dr Rupal when they have
been sick.
I find Dr Rupal to be very experienced in her field and if the
remedy prescribed is not working then she will continue to seek
out what is the correct remedy and dosage for a particular ailment
always taking the patients constitution into consideration.
I am happy that I have found a reliable and experienced homeopath
in Hong Kong to treat my children when they fall ill.

Both of my children Kei & Riina have benefit from homeopathic
remedies which were prescribed by Dr.Rupal.
It was a wonderful experience for us to know about homeopathy
and we do not need to seek allopathic medicine any more. They've
obviously improved their health and reduced number of times
to see a doctor.
Kei 7yrs old now, cured asthmatic cough, followed by his eczema
when he got in his young age.Riina 4yrs old now, who is not
on any serious allergy conditon and has seen Dr Rupal from 1
year old age, has always recoveres cold and children disease.

Kinesiology
Everyday we are under pressure... from work, family..
Some of us are having back pain, neck pain, weight problem, allergies...
There is a meaning behind all these illness !
Our body is holding all the answers to our diseases.
Kinesology will help you to understand all these blockages, reduce
tension and bring you back a good body balance.
How does it work?
By communicating with our body with muscle testing, Anisa helps
us to understand the root cause of our illness, problem and bring
our body into a healing process.
I was so fortunate to meet Anisa last year at Vitality Center.
I have been able to understand some of my blockages and release
the pain.
Today, I know that Kinesiolody is giving me a way to find out
a solution to some of my health problem.
Couple of good experiences recently motivate me to invite you
to meet Anisa.
You will be surprised how much you can learn from your body and
how you will feel relieved after one session.
I highly recommend you Anisa.
Cathy
I can never thank Anisa enough for her talent using kinesiology.
This therapy was totally unknown to me until 7 months ago and
I discovered
with amazement the real causes of my issues..Kinesiology
asks your body the Why, the Where, the Whom...and the answers
will often blow your mind !!
Rarely is the cause what you thought it would be; circumstances,
people, yes, but often they are just triggers your body is ready
to release from its memory, its DNA. It is perfectly Fabulous,
I have had incredible results.
I feel more and more centered, I am getting there, to my heart,
at last, unburdened by fears, sorrows etc... I can hear my voice
within more clearly.
Anisa is a very humble, genuine, grounded Lady. I am back in France,
now, and I shall miss her "playing the piano" on my
arm (that is how Anisa asks the body :))
Go to kinesiology with an open mind and you won't regret it, it
is an adventure in the mysteries of life and with Anisa you are
assured a safe journey.

Pregnancy Care
During my first pregnancy I experienced intense back pain and
hip pain, and was quite nervous going into my second pregnancy
knowing that the pain would probably come back and possibly earlier
in the pregnancy. I also had many digestive issues that seemed
to exacerbate throughout pregnancy so I really wanted to find
someone that could help me with it all. I heard that Audrey had
worked with pre and post natal women, so was very keen to be treated
by her.
My first session with Audrey was so thorough as she searched for
information regarding pre/post natal and also general health and
then proceeded to work my body through subtle manipulation. I
have seen Audrey throughout my 2nd pregnancy and am amazed at
how great my body feels.
Being an exercise instructor I often have niggles in my body and
am always searching for a practitioner who is able to help me
repair my physical and mental state. It is very rare to find someone
who is able to intuitively and kinesthetically understand your
body and actually make you feel good after one session. Audrey
is a natural healer. She asks the body to repair through subtle
fascial manipulation and uses no force. Every session Audrey works
her way around the body and gently asks the connective tissue,
muscles, joints and internal organs to talk to one another.
I have sent a number of people to Audrey, a combination of pre
and post natal and also clients who have had pain for years and
the response has been so positive. I am so thankful to Audrey
for always making time to listen to my mind and body and working
her magic on my personal training clients and me. Audrey is a
truly gifted healer.

I was fortunate enough to come across the Vitality Center and
Cecilia as soon as I arrived in Hong Kong. The philosophy held
by her of healing the cause not the symptoms was something I was
completely in tune with. So it was not surprising that I was happy
to have Cecilia perform acupuncture treatment on me during my
pregnancy. I considered her to be my primary health care provider
during this time and she remained very supportive during and after
my pregnancy. I have the utmost respect for her caring nature
and her professional attitude. I moved to Singapore and have yet
to find someone as caring and competent as her.

During my pregnancy, I was concerned about preparing myself for
natural labour. I saw both Cecilia for acupuncture and Shelagh
for
reflexology. I found that both treatments kept me balanced in
helping
my body cope with the changes that pregnancy brings - minor aches
and
digestive problems - and most importantly, relaxing and letting
my
body rest.
I was also very concerned about having a labour without any
painkillers and I credit the mix of acupuncture, reflexology and
yoga
in helping me to achieve this. My labour from start to finish
was
nine hours and by the time, I wanted any help - I even scheduled
an
acupuncturist to assist with pain management during labour - I
was
already fully dilated.
Post-pregnancy, I have a regular appoint weekly with Shelagh,
supplemented as the need arises with visits to Henry for osteopathic
treatment, Cecilia for acupuncture, Cecile for aromatherapy and
Anisa
for kinesiology. I find that I go to extraordinary lengths to
keep my
appointment with Shelagh for the calm, relaxation and centering
that
reflexology brings to my mind and body. I also find the Shelagh's
method where she never pushes through any pain but rather eases
your
body into releasing tension is not only very different from your
run-of-the mill reflexologist but more importantly, works with
your
body to naturally heal itself. I also believe that the other
treatments taken altogether have built a momentum in my body's
post-pregnancy recovery. Post-pregnancy, I am told that one does
feel
physically different but in undergoing treatments at the Vitality
Center, I feel more attuned to my body and its needs.

Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
I am a patient of Michelle Law at the Vitality Center. Michelle
has a PhD in Public Health and is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner
and Acupuncturist. For many years I have suffered the painful
effects of mortons neuroma, which are inflammations of the nerve
endings on the soles of the feet, just at the base of the toes.
I had seen a number of Western Practitioners and they gave me
cortisone injections and also recommended surgery. I decided to
try acupuncture and my Doctor referred me to Michelle at the Vitality
Center. I am very happy to report that after four sessions with
Michelle the pain in my feet is gone and there is absolutely no
need to resort to painkillers or surgery of any kind. It is a
very nice experience to be able to move around freely again after
many years of constant and steady pain. Michelle has also treated
me for tendonitis in my elbow, the famed "tennis elbow"
and this problem was treated in only three sessions and has not
recurred. I am very happy to recommend Michelle to others. She
is a kind and gentle professional who really took the time to
understand my health concerns and she has addressed them very
effectively in a short period of time. I will continue to use
the Vitality Center and I am already recommending it to my friends
and family.

It was my first time receiving acupuncture when advised by a
friend to meet with Les McClure. I had been suffering from a lack
of focus and energy; working in Hong Kong had put a strain on
my physical and mental well-being. Having met with Les, it is
not just the treatment (or as he calls it prescription) that has
revitalised my mind, body and spirit, but the time he has taken
to explain the fundamentals and connectivity of those three vital
areas. I am continuing both my own meditation and breathing exercises
at home, combined with treatments at the Vitality Center.. Les
has helped me to understand the relationship between the bodily
organs and the treatments have made a consistent improvement.
His knowledge and adaptability of the prescribed treatment has
remarkable positive reactions over the coming week.

Currently I am a patient of Dr. Philip Cheung. I was introduced
to Philip through a referral from Dr. Cecilia The. Initially,
I began treatment with Philip primarily for chronic neck and shoulder
pain, which had occurred after the birth of my son. On a daily
basis I would experience a variety of different ailments including:
pain, soreness, and tension of my neck, shoulder and back; numbness
of my arms, hands and legs; limited range of motion; headache;
and fatigue. Also, in order to get up in the morning and be able
to function, I was taking large quantities of OTC pain-relievers.
Now, for the first time in over four years, I have relief from
a majority of my symptoms, and only occasionally do I require
pain-relievers.
Concurrently, Philip has been treating me for migraines. As a
long-time migraine sufferer, I had given up hope that there was
any successful non-pharmaceutical aid for migraines - until I
was introduced to the Vitality Center where I met Dr. Cecilia
The, and subsequently Dr. Philip Cheung. Previously I would have
at least 1 to two migraine attacks monthly, and, not uncommonly,
as many as one a week. Thanks to Philip’s skill, persistence
and patience, the frequency of my migraines has been significantly
reduced, and, during some months, I am entirely migraine-free.
I am also very thankful to Cecilia for her amazing care and dedication,
and for “being there”.

Les is an insightful practioner and simply wonderful with sharing
the breadth and depth of his knowledge on Traditional Chinese
Medicine. The Dao-yin breathing and Makka Ho exercises he recommends
to complement his treatments are very beneficial.

I have Parkinson’s Disease which, though unpleasant and
full of frustrations, is neither painful nor lethal. While the
progress of PD varies from one sufferer to another, the rate at
which it advances can be slowed. Some chemical prescription is,
unfortunately, essential but here too the level at which these
are required can be controlled to some degree.
I have tried acupuncture previously. It was effective, but normally
for short periods only. I was recommended to see Philip Cheung
by another practictoner at the Center because he used a system
known as Zhu’s Method. This consists largely of placing
the pins on the top and back of the head. One advantage is that
it is a lot less painful than most other techniques but, much
more importantly, it works – for me. As with most chronic
diseases a lack of energy is common. My energy level has been
increased enormously.
Together with taking herbal medicines that Dr Cheung prescribes
the treatment has continued successfully over several months now.

Osteopathy
I have had an intimate link with ostheopathy for now 20 years,
since I had a lung surgery (that type of disorder that can happen
when you grow up too quickly). Having recurrent back pains from
then made me look for any type of solution, especially natural
ones.
Ostheopathy practices and techniques are very different from one
expert to another but my feeling is that, in order to be efficient,
they have to sum up different characteristics. Some of them are
factual (knowledge, education, ...), some are less measurable
as they imply human relationships, capability of trust and confidence
and may differ from one customer to another.
I found from the first minute that the understanding Audrey had,
the spontaneous empathy and the time she took to analyse my history
and the speed of integration of this long personnal data, were
building the sound ground of a nice patient-expert relationship.
She did succeed in relieving my structural pains almost from the
first sessions, and I guess that this is probably the most important
conclusion of all.
Leaving the country today, I have the legitimacy to affirm that
Audrey's sessions will definitevely be amongst the moments I will
miss the most, for their outputs for sure but also because the
sessions themselves were haven of peace in the turbulent Hong
Kong's life.

I have been seeing Henry for treatments on and off during the
past 4 years. I started to see Henry due to persistent lower back
problems largely resulting from a prolonged period of too much
time at my desk in the office. Henry put me on a weekly programme
for the first few months and eradicated the pain and generally
loosened my upper back and shoulder area. Since then, I see him
when I feel my back stiffen (or just miss his sense of humour)and
he never fails to deliver almost instant relief. Although I still
go through instense periods at work now and then, my persistent
lower back pain has not returned. When I do need treatments and
am able to see Henry for a few weeks in a row I always feel better
in terms of less stiffness, greater flexibility and usually even
reduced allergy symptoms. I have recommended Henry to many friends
and he has treated each of them with the same care and compassion
that he has shown me.
A trip to the Vitality Center is always a terrific experience
from being greeting by Dhillon or Corinna when you arrive through
to end of whatever treatment you need. Henry, and the rest of
the Vitality Center team, are fantastic, dedicated practitioners
and I recommend them highly.

Osteopaths have been part of my family’s medical care since
I was four years old. Having inherited a family back problem,
I have hobbled into the Vitality Center and following treatment
from Henry Donald Osteopath Extraordinaire, I have confidently
walked out. Following a monthly maintenance programme I am now
taller and straighter thanks to Henry’s professional care.
The Vitality Center provides professional caring Holistic Healing
in a warm atmosphere – absolutely revitalsing in this now
polluted concrete city. I know of Antipodean men who do not believe
in this “holistic “approach walking into the Vitality
Center in agony and walking out pain free. Not a miracle-but close
: just very professional care.

Reflexology
I admit to being a reflexology junkie which is why I am confident
in saying
that Shelagh Ho is at the top of her class. I have visited her
regularly for
the past 8 years and during that time she has helped me work on
a range of
health and resulting emotional issues related to premenstrual
syndrome,
hormone imbalance, impaired thyroid function, weak kidney function,
low energy
levels, neck and back stiffness and persistent poor sleep. This
is not to say
that I no longer suffer from any of these problems but I have
enjoyed
improvement in all of them, I am much more aware of any impact
I feel from
them and overall I feel unwell much less often. When I do feel
myself coming
down with one of the many colds and bugs which regularly circulate
in Hong
Kong, I am often able to avoid catching it at full strength or
sometimes avoid
it in full due to my regular visits with Shelagh. Relaxation is
without a doubt
another benefit of Reflexology as Shelagh works at reducing tension
overall
and opening energy blockages within your body. Her healing hands
have
literally transformed my body and its functioning ability during
the many
years I have worked with her.
