Homeopathy originated in Germany in 1794. Dr. Samuel Hahnemann found this faculty of medicine and is known as the father of Homeopathy.
This natural way of treatment is based on the principal, similia similibus curentour. That is likes are treated by likes.
Homeopathy does not treat disease but treat individual having disease. Body and mind are considered together while prescribing. Every individual is different from other. While prescribing , many things are taken into consideration, eg- physical as well as mental make up, sensitivity, life style, causative factor of disease etc.
Homeopathic medicines do not contain chemically active ingredient. Medicines are prepared from plants, minerals, magnet, etc. They are potentised (diluted by a specific method).These preparations are then dispensed in lactose powder and globules (which are prepared from goat's milk) or water or alchohol.
