Chinese Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture
Chinese Medicine looks at the human body and mind as an integrated and interrelated organic being. By focusing on imbalances between yin and yang, the major organs and the flow of Qi (vital energy), the scope of diseases that can be treated by Chinese Medicine is theoretically unlimited. Within Chinese Medicine there are different methods of obtaining balance (e.g. acupuncture and moxibustion, acupressure, tapping and cupping, qigong, exercise, diet, chi-nei-chang, the usage of herbs, etc.). The right combined usage of different methods will only strengthen the healing process.
Chinese herbal medicine is not only used for chronic disorders, it is also widely used for acute diseases, sometimes in combination with western medicine, and sometimes on its own. In fact, at the moment herbal extracts are used for intravenous application in hospitals.
A Chinese medicine practitioner can help patients with many different ailments. Very commonly seen are pain related problems, migraines, menstrual disorders, skin problems, allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, water retention, insomnia, fatigue, infertility, pregnancy related problems like morning sickness, etc.
However, since its main principle is to achieve balance and a smooth flow of Qi irrespective of how much or little this balance has been set off, it is also especially useful to gage one's own health even before more clear symptoms appear.
Prevention before cure.

Testimonials
I am a patient of Michelle Law at the Vitality Center. Michelle has a PhD in Public Health and is a Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist. For many years I have suffered the painful effects of mortons neuroma, which are inflammations of the nerve endings on the soles of the feet, just at the base of the toes. I had seen a number of Western Practitioners and they gave me cortisone injections and also recommended surgery. I decided to try acupuncture and my Doctor referred me to Michelle at the Vitality Center. I am very happy to report that after four sessions with Michelle the pain in my feet is gone and there is absolutely no need to resort to painkillers or surgery of any kind. It is a very nice experience to be able to move around freely again after many years of constant and steady pain. Michelle has also treated me for tendonitis in my elbow, the famed "tennis elbow" and this problem was treated in only three sessions and has not recurred. I am very happy to recommend Michelle to others. She is a kind and gentle professional who really took the time to understand my health concerns and she has addressed them very effectively in a short period of time. I will continue to use the Vitality Center and I am already recommending it to my friends and family.
